2nd place Riverside Park
Highly Commended Mansel Park [Evenlode Road, Millbrook]

The City of Southampton Society jointly with the Southampton Commons and Parks Protection Society have for the last three years operated an award scheme to encourage Southampton residents to take a pride in their local parks by nominating them for this award.

The emphasis is on the suburban areas and therefore those open spaces already possessing a Green Flag Award [the
Central Parks, the Common and Mayfield Park] are not eligible.

Our runner up for the last two years, namely Riverside Park, will also drop out next time now that this park has deservedly won the Green Flag Award.

If you are a Southampton resident or if you just visit Southampton parks, please nominate your favourite for next year's competition.
